Overview
The MoD NSoIT(D) programme is looking to transfer the Local Area Distribution and Telephone requirement from Land Environment Tactical Communication Information Systems to New Style of Information Technology (Deployed). To support this NSoIT(D) have been asked to develop and deliver a capability demonstrator for the LAD T requirement.
The requirement is to facilitate the provision of a Single Local Area Distribution solution for all CIS services within a Command Post/HQ, providing distribution of services and encryption of user traffic to orphaned, or separate capabilities that are not captured within the current scope of NSoIT(D). It would also ensure a telephone capability which provisions a multi-tenancy, cross security domain connectivity from deployed to deployed and deployed to fixed environments, both hard and soft.
To expand the team, there is a requirement of two Technical Authors to support the design. This role will work with the Air Raven Team to develop Use Cases. The role will be based at MOD Corsham (with flexible working arrangements) to be agreed once work is underway), with travel anticipated to stakeholder sites.

Key responsibilities: -
• Technical author service supporting Network Architects
• Weekly reports, summarising key tasked activities and outputs generated.
• Project documentation (PIDs, schedule, design documents etc) as mandated by the NSoIT(D) governance framework.

Essential skills, qualifications, and experience
In order to deliver this service, it is essential that individuals have:
• Understanding of complex datacentre technologies and experience in producing architecture diagrams from these.
• Understanding of service management processes and experience in producing information flow analysis diagrams
• Understanding of system interdependencies and experience in producing system/sub-system connectivity diagrams
• Familiarity with ArchiMate modelling language
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
• Hold a valid Security Clearance (SC)

Desirable skills, qualifications and experience
• Background in datacentre technical drafting outputs
